«È il gatto più gentile del mondo» ha detto la sua proprietaria Robin Hendrickson, che vive a Reno in Nevada (Usa) alla Associated Press che la intervistava. A vederlo magari appallottolato con quel pelo lungo e soffice deve quasi sembrare un batuffolo. Quasi, perché Stewie è lungo, dalla punta del naso fino all'osso sacro, ben 123,2 centimetri. Una misura che lo ha fatto entrare di diritto nel Guinness dei primati spodestando l'altro gatto della stessa razza Maine Coon che deteneva il titolo con 121,9 cm).
Inutile dire di quanto sia stata felice la Hendrickson, che si è convinta a sottoporlo alla misurazione ufficiale dopo i ripetuti commenti e la solllecitazioni di vicini e conoscenti, tutti stupiti dalla lunghezza del micio. La razza Maine Coon ha notoriamente misure superiori a quelle dei suoi simili: i maschi possono pesare da 7 a 12 kg, le femmine da 5 a 7 kg.
